Schemes PK

Government schemes in Pakistan, explained

Four schemes are running right now. This site tells you which one fits you, what it is actually worth, and what it will cost you, with a date on every figure.

  • Independent of government
  • No fees, no forms, no CNIC
  • Checked 9 October 2026

SchemesPK covers the PM Fuel Relief Scheme, the PM Youth Chromebook Scheme, the Apna Ghar Program, Apni Chhat Apna Ghar and the Parwaaz Card. Every guide gives the eligibility rules, the real cost and the source behind each number. We are not the government, we take no fee, and no application is ever made through us.

Which one are you here for?

The amount on each is the published maximum. What you actually get depends on the checks set out in the guide.

  • Rs100 off every litre

    PM Fuel Relief Scheme

    Federal government, nationwide

Own a motorcycle, rickshaw, Qingqi or a car up to 800cc and you pay Rs100 less for every litre on your monthly quota. That is around Rs2,000 a month for a bike and Rs3,000 for a small car. Register once by SMS to 9771, then ask for a token before each fill-up.

  • 500,000 free Chromebooks

    PM Youth Chromebook Scheme

    Federal government, nationwide

A Chromebook, a MiFi internet device and a bag for top Class 9 students at government schools. You do not apply: your education board ranks the 2026 annual exam results and publishes a list, and only students on that list register with IBCC. Deadlines are set board by board, and one has already passed.

  • Rs10m at 5% markup

    Apna Ghar Program

    Federal government, nationwide

Buying or building your first home: a bank lends up to Rs10 million at 5% for the first ten years, repaid over twenty. You put in 10% yourself, and the property is capped at 10 marla, or a flat of 1,500 sq ft.

  • Rs1.5m no markup

    Apni Chhat Apna Ghar

    Government of Punjab

Already own a plot in Punjab but cannot afford to build on it: up to Rs1.5 million with no markup, released in tranches as the house goes up and repaid over seven years at about Rs14,000 a month. Your PMT score has to be 60 or below.

  • Rs1m no markup

    Parwaaz Card

    Government of Punjab

Offered a job abroad but cannot pay to get there: Punjab lends up to Rs1 million with no markup for the visa, medical, skill test, Protectorate fee, air ticket and a licensed promoter's fee. It pays against receipts, never in cash.

How we work

SchemesPK is an independent publisher, not a government department and not an agent. We take figures from government notifications, ministry statements and established Pakistani newsrooms, date every number to the day it was published, and say plainly when something has been reported but not confirmed.

  • Every figure carries the date it was published and the source it came from.
  • Where sources disagree, we show both rather than picking the tidier one.
  • Where a rule is unpublished, such as the Parwaaz repayment term, we say so instead of estimating.
  • Our own calculations are labelled as ours, with the method stated.
  • We never ask for a CNIC, a fee, an OTP or a document.

Common questions

Is SchemesPK a government website?

No. It is an independent guide. Each scheme has its own official channel, named in the relevant guide, and that is where applications are made.

Do any of these schemes charge a fee to apply?

None of them. Registration for the fuel subsidy is a free SMS, and both housing schemes and the Parwaaz Card are applied for free on their own portals. Anyone asking for money to register you is defrauding you.

Can I apply for more than one scheme?

They cover different things, so yes in principle: a fuel subsidy on your bike does not stop you applying for a housing loan. But the two housing schemes are alternatives rather than a pair, and a default on one government loan will block you from others.

Which schemes are only for Punjab?

Apni Chhat Apna Ghar and the Parwaaz Card are Punjab programmes. The PM Fuel Relief Scheme and the Apna Ghar Program run nationwide.

How often is this site updated?

Whenever a rule, figure or price changes. Petrol prices are now revised every few days, so the fuel pages move most.
