About SchemesPK and How We Work

SchemesPK (schemespk.com) is an independent guide to government relief and welfare schemes in Pakistan. We explain, in plain English and Urdu, who qualifies for a scheme, how to apply, what it is worth, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Who runs SchemesPK

SchemesPK is run by four writers working together as an independent editorial team. It is not a company, and it is not registered as a legal entity. Each writer covers their own subject and puts their name on what they write:

  • Junaid MasoodEditor · Fuel relief and petrol prices · Faisalabad
  • Aadil ShezadHousing finance and government loan schemes · Kohat
  • Tayyab QureshiVehicle registration and excise services · Lahore
  • Bilal IrfanScams, consumer protection and the Urdu guides · Pakpattan

The site began publishing in September 2026, starting with the PM Fuel Relief Scheme. Junaid Masood is the editor and is responsible for what appears on the site.

How the site is funded

SchemesPK earns no revenue. There is no advertising on the site, no sponsored content, no affiliate links and no paid placement. We do not charge readers, and we are not paid by any bank, agent, government department or scheme operator. The site is funded by the people who write it.

If that ever changes, if we take advertising for example, we will say so on this page before it appears, and advertisers will have no say over what the guides contain.

Why we started

When a new scheme is announced, the details arrive in pieces: a press conference, a ministry notification, a string of news reports, and a flood of WhatsApp forwards. Rules change in the first days, and fake "apply online" websites appear almost immediately. The people who most need the relief, motorcycle riders, rickshaw drivers and low-income families, are often the least able to piece it all together.

SchemesPK puts the confirmed facts in one place, labels what is still unconfirmed, and shows the exact steps to follow through official channels.

What we cover

We currently cover four schemes: the PM Fuel Relief Scheme, the federal Apna Ghar Program, Punjab's Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, and the Punjab Parwaaz Card. Each has its own guide, eligibility page and dated change log. We add other federal and provincial schemes over time.

How we work

  • Official sources first. We rely on government websites, ministry statements, notifications and state media, supported by established national news outlets. Every guide lists its sources.
  • Dates on everything. Each page shows when it was published and last updated. We change the "last updated" date only when the content changes, never when we only change the design.
  • Unconfirmed means unconfirmed. Where reports disagree or officials have not clarified a rule, we say so rather than guess.
  • Our own calculations are labelled. Savings figures, instalments and examples we work out ourselves are marked as SchemesPK calculations, with the method stated.
  • We review every scheme monthly, and sooner when a rule or price changes. Petrol prices in particular now move every few days.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, email support@schemespk.com with the page address and what is wrong. We check it against the source, and if we got it wrong we fix it and change the page's updated date the same day. Where a correction changes a figure or a rule that readers may have acted on, we record it in that scheme's change log rather than editing it away quietly.

You can also reach any writer directly through the LinkedIn profile linked on their page.

What we are not

SchemesPK is not a government website and is not affiliated with the Government of Pakistan, any provincial government, or any government department. We do not register applicants, collect CNIC numbers, process applications, or charge fees. Nobody from SchemesPK will ever ask you for money, an OTP, or a PIN. Always apply through the official channel named in each guide.

Contact

For corrections, feedback or questions about this website, email support@schemespk.com. We cannot check the status of individual applications; for that, use the official scheme channels named in each guide.
